I really think about the cultural barriers were very wide and Rosario had alot of them to get around in America. With being illegal she had to take whatever job there was. Cariltos had a hard time with the barriers, because he did not understand what his mother was going through to try and get him in America. The group of people that took Carlitos in when he ran away tried to help him with the barriers by taking him to LA. The love a mothe r and son have is very strong and as amother myself of a young man I believe I would do anything for him to make sure he was happy.
